Karen Connelly Obituary
59, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Marion Connelly.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dave Fenske; four grandchildren; son, Jordan Sternbach; brother, Anthony (Tony) Connelly, III (Nilda); and two nieces.
Known as "Miss Karen" by her dance students, she was a former Principal Dancer with the Louisville Ballet and also danced with Baryshnikov while with the New York City Ballet. She was also a very accomplished and successful interior decorator.
Her visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, February 23 and from 11 a.m. until noon on Saturday, February 24 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Her funeral service will be at noon on Saturday at Highlands.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Animal House Adoption Center, 3516 Newburg Rd., 40218.

As someone who went to middle school with Jordan, I was over at their house quite often. Karen was always so kind to me. A funny memory of mine is the way she would drive her car with 1 hand in the middle of the steering wheel like she was palming a basketball. She would sing along to Tony Tone Toni's "If I Had No Loot" as she drove me home to my mother's house after spending the weekend at theirs. I haven't seen or spoken to her in 23 years but I will always remember her.

Dearest Karen,
Sadness prevails over me. I will always remember the fun times we had with the ballet company and as roomies in NYC! Rest in peace, Beautiful lady and friend.
