Kevin Heuser Obituary

Kevin Lawrence Heuser

Louisville - Kevin Lawrence Heuser, 67, passed away peacefully with his family by his side January 5, 2021. He was the son of the late George (Yats) Heuser and Mildred Eckerle Heuser. Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Vickie Lozar Heuser; sons, Nathan (Whitney Simpson) and Nicholas Heuser (Regan Judd); and soon to arrive grandson, Colton Lawrence Heuser; brothers, Michael R. Heuser (Sandra) and Martin J. Heuser (Betsy).

Kevin was born August 29, 1953 in Louisville, KY, attended Our Mother of Sorrows, St. Xavier High School and graduated in 1971 from Durrett High School. During that time, Kevin was an accomplished baseball player and you can still hear stories about his fastball throughout Germantown. After high school, Kevin enlisted in the Marine Corps where he proudly served and took pride in the USMC throughout his life. Kevin earned both marketing and management degrees from the University of Louisville. Kevin and his wife's careers took them to Chicago, IL, Huntsville, AL and back to Louisville. While raising both their sons, you could find Kevin at the nearest football field, baseball diamond, or basketball court either coaching or cheering. He enjoyed his career in the HVAC industry working for ESUSA, Johnson Controls and Harshaw Trane in Energy Services. Kevin and Vickie enjoyed traveling, boating and walking Shelbyville Road for a Happy Hour spot. In the last year, you could find them traveling or working on their party RV, "Bottle Rocket." Always the life of the party and with a contagious personality, Kevin made many friends over cold beers and good times.

He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #4080 in Huntsville, Al and Bradley Athletic Club.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1000 N Beckley Station Rd, Louisville, KY with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville, on Sunday January 10, 2021 from 1:00 to 8:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kevin to St. Xavier High School or Hosparus of Louisville.
