I worked at the Passionist Provincial Office from November 1969 to March 1977. Bro. Kevin was a mentor and friend. I got to join him and others in the second annual Corps of Passionist Volunteer (CPV) experience in Baja California. Bro. Kevin was inspirational, humorous and holy. My oldest son, Kevin is named after him. I am fortunate to have known him.
Sincerely, Mitch Halicki

Bro. Kevin was someone special to me. I was a student at Mother of Good Counsel in Warrenton, Missouri while he was serving as Infirmarian to the student body. He embodied our ideal of a Passionist brother, a man dedicated to to both the spiritual and physical care those around him. His wit was legend and his energy unstoppable.
He quarrantined me in the infirmary on the suspicion of an outbreak of bacterial meninigitis. I was aggrieved by the loss of my freedom but happy for the additional time I had to spend with him. I complained of the boredom but he merely said, "Steve, quit complaining and count the holes in the ceiling tiles!" I did and he would daily check my count!
I have never forgotten this wonderful man in the fifty years since. Perhaps, now, he counts the stars in the heavens. Kevin, we await your count!
My sincerest condolences to the loved ones he leaves behind.

Dear Dennis, Fr. Kenneth, Mary Theresa and Patty Ann ~ both Mary and I (Ann) have fond memories of Br. Kevin ~ mine go back to the summers I spent visiting at 14826 Petoskey MI when Jimmy and I would bake chocolate chip cookies and be scolded by Aunt Winnie for making a mess and eating the batter!! And Mary and my family had a wonderful visit when Br. Kevin was visiting Seattle and we met him and brought him to Vancouver / Crescent Beach where he stayed for a few days and we shared many stories, laughed a lot and yes, shed a tear or two. He had a great visit with Dad (Uncle Frank) ~ great memories of a special time. Please know each of you are in our prayers and in our hearts!
Blessings and Love, Mary (McCarthy) and Ann (Dobie-McCarthy) xx

I with to express my condolences to the O'Malley family on the passing of my friend, Br. Kevin. I was truly blessed to be able to contact him about 5 years ago and to renew our friendship. We had many good conversations by phone and also were able to see one another 3 times. I will be thinking of you all as you gather for his memorial.
