Mr. Hardin was like a second grandfather to me. He was a very quiet man, but his actions let you know exactly what he was thinking. Mr. and Mrs. Hardin and their family took care of my dad and I like we were their own. I never really got the chance to tell Mr. Hardin how much he really meant to me, but I know he's watching over me right now as I'm typing this. But I just wanted to let him know that I appreciate everything he has ever done for me and my dad and that I love him, and I'm going to miss him very much.

It is my great honor to be Leo's Son-in-Law. He will be greatly missed because he was greatly loved and respected. He was a godly man who lived his faith rather than talk about it. Leo was generous with possessions, time and most importantly, love. He was a role model to me. Looking at his wife Doris singing in the choir in church, he leaned over to me and said "prettiest woman in here".
Love is a choice, not a feeling, and Leo chose to love.
A humble farmer who loved to tease, his funeral home visitation was attended by over 1000 people.
He will be greatly missed.

I was lucky enough to become friends with the youngest Hardin child, Leona Beth. She has been my best friend for the past five years. Through our friendship I was able to get to know, love and adore her family. Her family, in turn, welcomed me with love and compassion without question or thought. Her father was a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather, and his loss will be felt by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. To the family, you know how much I love you all and how I much I loved Leo. Words cannot express or heal the loss that you feel, but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you and may Leo watch over you until you meet again. All my love, Kerri.

Leo was a high school classmate and even though I have seen him twice (maybe) in the last 50 years, he was one of the nicest, most decent individuals I have ever met.

Doris & Family,
We are thinking of you today. Leo was a good neighbor and friend to us. I know he will be missed by all.
We are keeping you and your family in our prayers.
