Lucile Vinson Obituary
Lucile was an organist for St. Luke Catholic Church in Nicholasville, KY, more recently for Pax Christi Catholic Church in Lexington and formerly at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City. She also played professionally in many dance bands in the Louisville and Tell City areas while her family was stationed at Fort Knox, KY. A 1943 graduate of Tell City High School, Lucile was a member of Oblates of St. Benedict.
Lucile had worked as a dietary manager, certified nursing assistant, business office manager, and finally as an owner of long term care facilities throughout the state of Kentucky for over 50 years.
Surviving are her children, John Vinson (Cathy) of Louisville, Steven Vinson (Margarete) of Lexington, Leeny Hardesty of Lexington, Tina Stoen (Skip) of Evansville, IN, Martin Vinson (Carol) of Tell City, LuAnn Davis (Jarrod) of Nicholasville and Charles "Lucky" Layell of Bristol, TN; 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, along with other family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. CST on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 824 Jefferson St., Tell City, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. EST Tuesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington; 2-8 p.m. CST Wednesday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. CST Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th St., Tell City. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Catholic Church, Pax Christi Catholic Church or St. Paul Catholic Church.
Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.huberfuneralhome.net.
The family would like to thank the loving staff at Cambridge Place for the care and attention provided to their mother.

Tina, it was truly a pleasure for Ray and I to be able to visit with you at Cambridge Place just a few days before Lucile's passing. If you remember, my mother was just across the hall from your mom. She was such a special person that touched so many of our lives here a Cambridge Place. She brought laughter to us each day. I will never forget her smile and laughter. She had such a sense of humor. She will be forever missed. My prayers are with each of her family members. She has such a loving supportive family.

Working with Lucile has been a life changing event for me. When she was in the office we laughed most of the day. She was a funny lady, very loving and caring for everyone she knew. I will miss her deeply and remember many stories that she told about her youth. My prayes are with the family.
