Marquita Sodrel Obituary
Sodrel, Marquita "Keta" Dean,
65, passed away at South Central Indiana Hospice on New Year's Day.
She was born May 5, 1949 in Manchester, KY to Mark and Sylvia Dean.
Keta served as corporate secretary at the family businesses, but considered her most important job to be wife, mother and grandmother. Whether in Washington,
D.C., Indiana or wherever she traveled she would say she was "working for The Lord."
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Mike Sodrel; two children, Noah (Kristin) Sodrel of Greenwood, IN and Keesha (John) McCue of Woodland Hills, CA;
seven granddaughters, Keta McCue, Mya Sodrel, Lucee McCue, Khia Sodrel, Livvi McCue, Skye Sodrel and Fifi Sodrel; mother, Sylvia Marcum of Jeffersonville, IN; sisters, Phyllis (Sandy) Dannenfelser of Floyds Knobs, IN, Lou (Jimmy) Colglazier of Jeffersonville, IN; and brother Mark (Tracey) Dean of Clarksville, IN.
Visitation: 2-7 p.m. Sunday, and 9:30 -11:30 a.m. Monday, G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN. The funeral service will be conducted there at 11:30 a.m. Monday. She will be laid to rest at The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery.

Mike and family. Tim and I are deeply saddened. Keta was such a special lady and always seemed to be smiling, not to mention her positive attitude and devotion to our Lord. Noah, I am saddened by Keta's passing--only learned of it today. Your Mother was a true friend and supporter of mine when you were in my fourth-grade class at S. Ellen Jones School, accompanying and arranging for our class to go to The Children's Museum in Indy and supporting classroom academic activities. I always appreciated her vivacious personality, friendship, and helpfulness. (You knew me as Mrs. Campbell.)

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. We are so sad about Keta's passing. Whenever Keta comes to mind my thoughts are of the times she shared my sorrows and tears. She would say: "Vickie wash your face and put on your lipstick!. She just had a way about her that inspired you to carry on and it would all work out. She touched our lives in a way that only Keta could.
