I was in second grade when Sister Perpetua came to St. A. I thought she was to young to be a Sister. Rest in piece Sister Perpetua.

Dear Sister Perpetua- yes, first grade, 1955. From the obit, she was not only young, but fairly new to teaching.Whoa to the misbehaving student who might, at worst, get a knuckle rap with the yardstick! Yet I remember her decorations and positive attitude making the classroom a welcoming and interesting environment. Thanks to her efforts, my love of reading to learn was given a solid foundation.

I have fond memories of Sister Perpetua. She was my first grade teacher at St. Aloysius in Shepherdsville. I remember her teaching me to pray with my hands folded towards heaven. I will pray for her family during this difficult time.

May the Lord grant you rest and peace. You will always have a special place in my heart. You taught us to read, to do math but more importantly how to pray. I remember you each year at May Procession. I hope that Mary greets you as you enter heaven.

I was the youngest of 3 children that all attended St. Aloysius and we each were taught in first grade by Sister Perpetua. As my first grade teacher Sister Perpetua served as a catalyst for my education. Her concern for my education was a memory that stuck with me. I remember her coming to school extra early to meet with my parents concerning my trouble with math. At the time I thought it was a waste and her way of punishing me. Looking back I realize that it was her sense of compassion and true concern for my well being that prompted that conference. She will be missed. God bless!

Dear Ann and Family of Sister Mary Perpetua
I knew as soon as I saw the last name of Nauert there had to be a connection to Ann & John Nauert.
Just wanted to convey my sympathy to your family. I hope that Sister had been blessed with good health up until time of her passing.
