Melvin Huber Obituary
The son of Nace F. and Bertha Huber, he attended St. X High School, followed by four years at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.
While serving as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army, he married June Frank of Cincinnati.
He was president and owner of Huber Tire Co., and a founding member and past president of the American Retreaders Association. He was a longtime member and director of the Downtown Louisville Rotary Club. He was a member of Big Spring Country Club, Pyramid Trust and St. Leonard Parish. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lucille Huber, Bud Huber (Mary), Helen McIntyre, Jenny Wynn (Buster) and Betty Ezell (Don).
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, June; his children, Stephanie Isenberg, Nace Huber (Kris), Chip Huber (Stacie) and E.J. Huber; grandchildren, Lauren, Jamie, Will (Destiny), and Evan Isenberg, Ben and Andy Huber and Justin Huber; a great-grandchild; a sister, Margaret Corcoran; and a brother-in-law, Jack McIntyre.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Leonard Church, 440 Zorn Ave. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman Bros. Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. X High School.

June and family: My deepest condolences in the loss of Melvin. You will be in my thoughts and prayers now and in the days to come. It is sad for me to see/read about those who have passed away that were not only patients but friends with Dr.Miller. I am sure Melvin and Milton have already "met up" in heaven, having good conversation and laugh. June, you and the entire Huber family were very special to both Milton and myself. It was indeed a pleasure to care for you and so many in the family through the years.

Dear June,
Ned and were saddened to learn of Mel'sl passing. We had inquired just last week about you all. Sorry we didn't get to see Mel here in Lexington. He was such a friendly gentleman and always knew our names. Our prayers of comfort are with you and your family. Love, Mary C.

June and I are so sorry to hear of Mel's passing. He was a great man.
Mel was like a second father to me back in the late 70's and early 80's.
He always knew "Solley" would be comin' around come suppertime!
Your whole family have been such a blessing to my life and I have Mel to thank for that.
My wife June got to meet Mel once and she commented what a close, caring, and loving family he had been blessed with.
Our love and prayers go out to you all.
