Devine, Michael Francis,

81, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his home.

Michael was born on July 29, 1933 in Jeffersonville, IN, to the late Frank and Julia Devine.

He worked for 22 years at International Harvester where he served as their union health and safety representative. He later worked as a probation officer for the Clark County Courts. Michael was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. His 47 years as a friend of Bill W. was one of his most cherished accomplishments.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Hommell, Kathleen Bledsoe, and Jeanie Popp.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Devine; a daughter, Diana Berger and her husband Larry; a son, Jamie Devine and his wife Graciela; and four grandchildren, Aric and Alex Berger, Joshua and Jared Devine.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church (315 E. Chestnut Street) in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday from 9-10 a.m. at the church.
