Patricia Lega Obituary
Louisville - Patricia Ann Reilly Lega, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021, at the age of 97.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bertrand A. Lega; her son, Thomas Joseph; parents, Leo H. Reilly and Anna Theresa Dierken Reilly; and five brothers, Lee (Mary), Jack (Evvy), Don (Jackie), Rev. Robert E. Reilly, and Charlie.
She is survived by six children, Barbara (Nick), Patty (Ira), George (Nancy), Dan, Mary, and Nick (Alvine). She is also survived by her sister, Mary Winifred "Winnie" Elder (Jack); eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pat was born in Louisville on July 31, 1924, and was baptized at Holy Name. She attended Holy Name and Most Blessed Sacrament. She graduated high school from Ursuline Academy in 1942 and she married Bert Lega on May 18, 1946. They were married for 50 years before Bert's death on June 22, 1996.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 18 at Holy Family Church, 3928 Poplar Level Rd, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 17, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church in Louisville, KY.
