Paula Ann Shade

Highland Village, TX - Paula Ann Shade (Shaffer) 55, passed away August 28, 2019 in Highland Village, Texas after a long illness. She was born in Cherry Point, North Carolina and lived in Ohio, Kentucky, Georgia and Virginia before putting down roots with her family in Texas. Paula was a graduate of Sycamore High School in Blue Ash, OH and Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Robert F. Shade; Daughter, Sarah; Son, Colin; Parents, John and Jan Shaffer and Brothers, Todd (Karen) Shaffer and John (Marta) Shaffer.

Paula was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved sitting in the stands watching Colin play baseball and was so proud to see Sarah admitted to American University's graduate program in Washington, D.C. Paula was particularly proud of her past work with the Bobby Dodd Institute in Atlanta, GA working in the vocational/mental health rehabilitation field.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 9:00 am, St. Patrick's Catholic Church 1000 N Beckley Station Road with a funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Louisville, KY.
