Zanakis, Peggy Jean,

Peggy Jean Zanakis, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 14, 2017, in her home. Peggy was born on March 2, 1939, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Kelly and Clara Fudge. She lived in many places to include the Washington, DC area, Athens, Greece, Benton, KY, and Louisville, KY. In her heart, she always considered Louisville her home. Peggy will be remembered for her devotion to her family and for the love she had for her children and grandchildren. Peggy was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox church as well as a member of the Daughters of Penelope.

Peggy is survived by her children, Dorrie Peace and her husband Robert of Fairfax Station, VA, Rena Zanakis of Maysville, KY, and James-Eric Zanakis and his wife Diann of Leonardtown, MD, and 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Jeannette Ashley and her husband Ralph of Louisville, KY, Shirley Abell and her husband Dennis of Gainesville, GA, James Fudge and his wife Donna of Benton, KY, her cousin Joanne Klickovich and her husband Robert of Louisville, KY, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Mihail Zanakis and her parents Kelly and Clara Fudge.

Funeral is at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Saturday September 16 at 10 a.m. www.brellandson.com
