Robert Levine Obituary
Dr. Robert "Rob" Gary Levine, 70, passed away on Thursday, June 8th, 2017, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was laid to rest in Scranton, PA, on Sunday, June 11th.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, his children Meryl and Collin, his grandson Clayton, his siblings Jack (Debbie) and Linda (Bob), and his many nieces and nephews.
Throughout his Podiatric career, Rob was recognized for his work, sitting on podiatry boards and teaching surgical residents.
When not practicing medicine, you could find him skiing the slopes with his family and friends or bicycling with the Clydesdale Athletic Club. Rob and the Clydesdales were symbiotic, each motivating the other to push their bodies and to not give up, which he never did.
Rob's family and friends meant the world to him. He was generous with his time, his wisdom, and his love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

To Rob's Family, and to Steve Simon and Family,
I first met Rob many, many years ago, when we "did" the Gauley River (Class 5+ whitewater) together...with Harold Shaw and Jack. That was one hell of an adventure!
Then, in 2012, I traveled to Louisville (from Connecticut) , with two friends, to attend Ali's 70th birthday party. Rob filled-out our weekend by serving as chauffeur, guide, and historian to/for the highlights of Louisville. The night before the Ali event, he even introduced us to the lady who baked Ali's cake. She gave an extra fondant butterfly and bee to me and to each of my friends. Rob was extraordinarily gracious with his time. I, along with my friends, were made to feel very warmly welcomed. Rob certainly was a kind, considerate, and fun guy.
I hope that the best memories-- of laughter, family and friends, accomplishment, contentment, love-- rise to the top to help sustain you through the most difficult days. I extend my condolences.

Hamakom Y'nachem Etchem...May God comfort you among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Such a gracious and generous man, even when battling his cancer. He will be sorely missed.
