Ruth Schuster Obituary
She was the former Ruth Hughes, a native of Jenkins, KY and was raised in Lawrenceburg, KY.
After moving to Louisville as a young girl she attended Catherine Spalding University where she studied speech therapy. Throughout her life Ruth taught private piano lessons in her home. She was active in her children's PTA from grade school to high school. She was a member of the Kentucky Women's Plumbing Assoc. and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. Ruth maintained her tenacious spirit throughout her battle until the end.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Hughes.
She sadly leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Owen; son, Paul Owen and grandsons, Travis and Troy; daughter, Betty Carol Thomas (Kevin) and granddaughter, Molly Catherine.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd. with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Monday.
The family would like to thank the attending caregivers from Hosparus who made this very difficult transition easier. We are extremely thankful for the many and continuous prayers said in Ruth's name and those who gave of their time to whisper those prayers. May God Bless.

Owen,Betty,Molly and Paul,
Our sincere condolances to you-our neighbors. Mrs. Schuster was a very articulate woman in her teaching-both my daughters were fortunate to have learned from her.She was a kind,gentle and gracious friend--and will be missed.
