Sylvia Laprade Obituary
She was a teacher's aide at Cochrane Elementary, member of Central Baptist Church, CASA, and USTA of Louisville.
She is survived by her son, Mark LaPrade; sibling, Rose M. Clay, Carl C. Burnley, (Belinda), Sheila Simon, Kathleen Brodine (Michael), Teresa Mitchell (Marcus) and Greg Jordan (LeNora), former husband and friend Frank LaPrade, host of relatives and friends.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Sunday at A. D. Porter & Sons, 1300 W. Chestnut St. Funeral: 11 a.m Monday at the funeral home, with entombment in Resthaven Cemetery. Online condolences: www.adporters.com

I just found out Sylvia had passed away. Sylvia was neighbors with my grandma, Frances White. My grandma always spoke highly of Sylvia, and in our meetings, I found her to be a wonderful person as well. Sorry for the loss to her family and friends.

The last time I saw my mother's friend from high school was in 2013. Then, we were at the funeral of another friend they attended high school with. I am sad for this loss. I am sad for her family, especially Mark.

I worked with Sylvia at Akzo Nobel. I helped her with the children's Christmas parties every year. We so enjoyed watching all the children have fun!

I worked at Akzo Nobel in R&D while Sylvia worked in Resins. Sylvia was such a wonderful, delightful lady and a pleasure to be around. My sincerest condolences to her family. Many blessings to all.

A wonderful daughter, mother, sister and friend. Pretty good at tennis as well. I loved to hear her laugh. It was contagious. She always made me feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you Sylvia for your graciousness and kindness. You are missed.
