Vincent Klein Obituary
Klein, Vincent W. Jr.,
62, of New Albany, Indiana passed away Thursday at Floyd Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany, Indiana. He spent his entire professional career as a devoted advocate for children and was honored with numerous awards including a Sagamore of the Wabash by Evan Bayh, the 46th Governor of Indiana, for his contributions. Preceded in death by: Parents - Vincent W., Sr. & Frieda Klein. Survivors: Wife - Mary Pate Klein; Son - Michael Vincent Klein (Elyse) - New York, New York; Daughter - Emily Klein D'Souza (Katan) - Kenilworth, Illinois; Granddaughter - Maya D'Souza; Sisters - Janice Klein (Judy Ganser) - Indianapolis, Indiana, Angela Nolan (Ronald) - New Albany, Indiana.
Visitation: 2- 8 pm Tuesday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes; Prayer Service: 7-8 pm Tuesday. Funeral Mass - 10 am Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany, Indiana.
Interment: Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, New Albany, Indiana.
Expressions: Open Door Youth Services.

Dear Mary, Emily, & Michael,
I am so sorry for your loss. Vince was a very good man. I always enjoyed his company and his generosity. I know you are going through a lot right now. I lost my father last March as well. From what I remember, you guys were always tight. That"ll get you through these trying times.

Vince was a true advocate for children. He talked the talk and walked the walk. A true gentleman who graced us with his time and talent. Condolences to his family. Thank you for sharing him with us.

My condolences to the whole Klein family.
Vince was fun loving with a twinkle in his eyes.
I knew Vince as an avid euchre player in Newcomer's Club.
Later as he was a leader in the Step Ahead program, Vince and I became co-workers. His tireless advocacy for children was unmatched. I know Vince is smiling down on all of us.

So very sorry to hear the sad news. Gilbert and I both knew Vince. Gil served with him on the FC Youth Services board and I was on the YouthCount board. I don't know how Floyd County will ever replace his dedication, commitment, compassion, and advocacy on behalf of our youth.
