Vincent Schrader Obituary

SCHRADER, VINCENT M., "JACK," 91, of Louisville, went home to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 24, 2005. He was born on August 14, 1913, in Oldham County. He served in World War II as a member of the Army Air Corps and was the owner of Penny Sales Vending Company from 1940 until his retirement. He also worked for the US Postal Service. He resided at Britthaven of Prospect and was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and a regular participant at the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Betty Beeler Schrader, and his granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Schrader. He is survived by his son, Paul Schrader, daughter-in-law, Cindi, and daughter, Maggie Sasher, all of whom cared for him. He is also survived by four loving grandsons, John Schrader and Mike, Jeff and Keith Sasher. He also leaves behind two sisters, Alberta Edwards and Jean Thomas Evans. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Saturday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 639 S. Shelby St., with burial in Nay's Longview Farm Cemetery in Oldham County. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Friday at Bosse Funeral Home, Barret and Ellison Aves. Expressions of sympathy may go to Kosair Children's Hospital, in memory of his granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Schrader.
