Virginia Hammel Obituary

Hammel, Virginia I.,

85, of Louisville, passed away April 16, 2015.

Virginia was born to the late Leslie and Ona Hardy in Ridgeway, IL. She enjoyed time spent at Nolin Lake and Florida. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 53 years, Leslie V. Hammel.

Survivors include her sons, Steve Hammel (Jeanie) and Mike Hammel (Deloris); grandchildren, Ryan Hammel (Kasey) and Anessa Hammel; great-grandchild, Finnian Hammel; and long-time companion, Dale Anderson.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. Funeral services in celebration of her life will be 11 a.m. Monday at Ratterman and Sons, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the American Cancer Society or Hosparus. Online condolences may be made at www.Ratterman.com.
