Wanda Shee Obituary

SHEE, WANDA KAY (DAVIS), 61, was born December 11, 1947, and entered her eternal rest with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 15, 2009.

Wanda had a beautiful spirit and a generous heart. She always welcomed people into her home and everyone looked forward to her wonderful cooking. There was always "room for one more". She enjoyed entertaining her many friends in the home she shared with her devoted husband, Terry.

Her death was preceded by a long and arduous struggle with multiple physical conditions. Her family rejoices in the knowledge that she leaves behind a body with multiple physical problems and now is enjoying her new body and her new life in eternity with the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Nell Davis; her father, Brady Milford Davis; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Most recently he was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Rebecca.

She is survived by her aunt, Pearl Schoenlaub; her aunt, Edna Davis and uncle Bedford Davis; and several cousins, all from Red Boiling Springs, TN. Additional survivors include her daughter, Laura Waggoner and her husband Mark; two grandchildren, Callie and Camden, with an additional grandchild due in March. Other survivors include her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan Shee and Frank Shee; also her niece, Rachel Overstreet and husband, James; their children, Hailey and Hayden; nephew David Shee, his wife Amy; and their children, Owen, Carson, and Amelia. She is also survived by her father-in-law, George M. Shee. Wanda will also be missed by her best friends of more than 55 years, Jim and Sue Quire. Finally, she is survived by her loving husband of thirty-three years, Dr. George T. Shee.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, July 17, at Southeast Christian Church, 901 Blankenbaker Pkwy., with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
