Dear Sandra,
I first met your father at your retirement party. What a wonderful man, and a wonderful family. For some reason I always thought he was much younger than his actual years. These are times when we certainly need the support of friends and family. I am here for you, as are the rest of our little group. With sincere sympathy,
Jennifer

Dear Kip and Joni -- Sandy and I are truly sorry for your loss. Your dad was a very special man and I am so pleased that I was able to stop by and visit with him during our recent trip to Louisville. Our prayers are with you both.

Dear Sandra, I would so like to see you but am not able to come to the funeral home tomorrow. I must have read the obituatires too quickly this morning. I would have missed the notice had not Sister Marilyn who lives here talked about your dad whom she has known for some years. Please know that you are one of my favorite people. I remember you with much fondness. Be sure that we will be praying for your dad and for your family. May God Himself comfort and console you. With love, Sister Helen O'Brien

Dear Viscusi Family,

I first met Bill when I began work as minister to the sick and elderly at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish. Meadows South was on my list of places, and Bill was a volunteer in a group of pinochle players.

Some little while later I volunteered at the Iroquois Amphitheater. Guess who else was a volunteer? Bill Viscusi

Then I became a volunteer at the Kentucky Center. Bill again. He was such a giving person--and obviously enjoyed being one--that I was/am inspired by him. I cannot imagine how large is the empty space he left behind.

May you be proud of and comforted by the large number of friends and others he influenced for the good. You and he are in my prayers.

Sincerely yours,
Sister Marilyn Mueller

Bill was a beloved volunteer at The Kentucky Center for 25 years and working with his was a joy. He was in the first volunteer class at the Center and retired after the Center's 25th anniversary. On behalf of The Kentucky Center Volunteers and staff, may you find peace in your sorrow.

Bill was one of the most inspirational people I knew. As a fellow Pool Pal at the Baptist East Wellness Center, he amazed us all with how vigorous he was at age 98. He was my hero. He was so social, and he was always the first person to ask when the next pool pals party would be, edging me on to get it together. He always brought his daughters - he loved them so, and he talked about them often. He also loved going to Nashville to visit his son, and he told us of all his adventures there, including about the traffic getting to see the Rockettes. He looked forward to vacations with his family, as well.
We all knew he was always on the go, driving here and there. No matter the weather, he attended so many functions with such relish, I was jealous of his social life!
His smiling face was always there, and we all so missed him over the last few months. Every day, someone would ask if anyone had heard from or seen Bill. I am so saddened at his passing, and his presence will be so missed. I was so sure that I would walk into the pool and see his face again.
God bless him and your entire family. I know he is in heaven with his wife and daughter. The angels are singing.
