I knew Miss Crenshaw when we were both members attending Union Gospel Mission/Central Baptist Mission. A truly wonderful person.

I came to know Willie when I started working at Brownsboro Park. I was her housekeeper. She was a person who I truley loved and respected. She treated me as a friend. Many times when I would go to her room, I would find her reading her bible. We would often talk about different passages. She would have me to sing different songs, and sometimes I prayed for her.No more pain, no more sorrow, no more trouble of the world. I know if nothing else, she loved God. Rest in peace Willie. I know you are.

I wrote about visiting Willie at Telford Terrace. I forgot to type my name on that entry.

I knew Willie through my weekly visits to Telford Terrace in Richmond. She loved Jesus, and her faith gave her strength and peace. We shared many hymns and choruses, and I could tell that she enjoyed hearing me read Bible stories and psalms of praise. I will miss her smiles and her whispered but emphatic "Thank You!" every time I left.

I was telling my daughter about her class just last week. I often think about the great teachers we had at Southern Jr. High. I can remember Miss Crenshaw quite vividly--loved and respected her. Thank you, Miss Crenshaw. RIP...Linda Whittaker Aldridge(Manual '68)

Miss Crenshaw was my homeroom teacher at
Southern Jr. High in Louisville for my
7th and8th grades. She was saintly and took an interest in me by encouraging me to be my best. I went on to become a minister for 46 years in the United Methodist Church. God bless her memory.
