Abraham Rosengard Obituary

Abraham Rosengard retired Lowell insurance agent, WWII vet; 91 LOWELL Abraham Rosengard, 91, of Lowell, died Thursday morning, August 30, 2007, at the Town and Country Nursing Center in Lowell. He was the husband of Ruth (Price) Rosengard. Mr. Rosengard was a lifelong resident of Lowell. He attended Bentley College and graduated with a degree in accounting. Mr. Rosengard served honorably in the Army Air Corp during World War II. Mr. Rosengard worked as a successful insurance agent in Lowell, with a focus on commercial real estate insurance. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Temple Beth El of Lowell, and its brotherhood. In his later years, he organized elderly events at the Temple. Besides his wife, he is survived by his stepchildren, Ruby Sherman, Jeffrey Sandler, and Marc Sandler; five grandchildren; a nephew, Mark Rosengard; a niece, Dana Frankel, and many other nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late David Rosengard, Samuel Rosengard, Lillian Samuelson, and Reuben Rosengard. ROSENGARD Abraham, of Lowell - Entered Eternal Rest, Aug. 30, 2007. Devoted husband of Ruth (Price). Services at the Montefiore Cemetery, Pulpit Rock Rd. (off Rte. 38), Pelham, NH on Fri., Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. Condolence calls may be made at the home of Mark & Gail Rosengard following services Friday until 4 p.m. and Sunday 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be donated to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Goldman Funeral Chapel, Malden.
