Adeline Zannini Obituary

Lowell

Adeline Mae (Cooper) Zannini, 92, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away at home peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, August 19 with her family all around her. She was the widow of John J. Zannini, who passed away in 1995.

Mae, as she was known by all, was born on October 16, 1930 in Lowell. A daughter of the late Robert W. Cooper and the late Emma M. (Saunders) Cooper, she was raised and educated in Lowell's Centralville neighborhood. She married John J. Zannini, they began their family and relocated to Lowell's Sacred Heart neighborhood.

She was a fulltime mother and later grandmother and great grandmother over the course of her 92 years. She was a communicant of the former Sacret Heart Parish. She worked with her daughter Joanne for over 50 years with the family florist business "Charming Petals" in Dracut. She was "Nana" to all who crossed her path and was always welcoming and outgoing. Lastly, Mae had a genuine love for a good tequila and shared that passion with all those she held close to her heart.

Mae is survived by her 3 children, Elizabeth A. Niemi of Dracut, Joanne Daly of Lowell, Mary L'Italien and her husband, Rodney, of Amesbury; her 6 grandchildren, Tabitha Cameline of Houston, TX, Bonnie Niemi of Tampa, FL, Dennis Zannini and his wife, Tina, of Andover, Devan Daly of Dracut, Patrick McLaughlin of Derry, NH and Karen L'Italien of Bradford and her great grandchildren, Jaden Cameline, Patrick McLaughlin, Jr., Madelyn McLaughlin, Xander Fret and Cody Zannini.

She was the last surviving Cooper sibling.

All are welcome to attend her visitation on Friday, August 25 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA. You are also invited to attend her funeral service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, August 26. Procession will follow for her burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury, where she will be laid to rest with her husband. My Heart felt sympathy , Joanne, Devan and the entire family

My father grew up with Johnnie, they use to go out on occasion with my parents, my father bought my mothers first vehicle [ Chevy convertable] in the 60's from Mae and John, he fixed up and sold used cars,
I have had the pleasure of touching base with Mae at Charming Petals for many years, while doing business with Joanne and Devan, its was always a visit, not just doing business
her smile and personality will be missed by all

Sincerely Lance Sheehan
