Agnes Lester Obituary

Agnes V. Lester of Lowell, St. Michael member; 93 LOWELL Agnes V. (Larson) Lester, 93, a resident of Lowell, died Friday evening, September 28, 2007, in a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late John T. Lester. Born in Concord, N.H., on July 24, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Marie (Lundberg) Larson. Mrs. Lester attended Lowell schools, and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1932. Prior to her retirement in 1979, Mrs. Lester was employed by the former St. John's Hospital, as a cashier. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church. Mrs. Lester did some travelling upon retirement, and enjoyed doing crafts, especially paint by numbers. Her favorite sport was baseball, and she enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia A. and William J. Cronin of Lowell; four grandchildren, Kathleen M. Swanson and her husband, Brian of Westborough, Kristine A. Morrison and her husband, Wayne of Lowell, Daniel W. Cronin and his wife, Christina of Hudson, N.H., and William J. Cronin and his wife, Carrie of Lowell; seven great-grandchildren, Daniel W. Cronin, Jr., and Cailin Cronin, both of Hudson, N.H., Emma Morrison, Eric Morrison, Jack Cronin and Molly Cronin, all of Lowell, and Meredith Swanson of Westborough; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Jacqueline A. "Lyn" Lester, and sister of the late Toure Larson, Nils Larson, Edgar Larson and Vera Haas. LESTER died Sept. 28, Agnes V. (Larson), of Lowell, age 93. Relatives and friends may call at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth St., from 3 until 7 PM on Monday. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 AM in St. Michael Church. Cremation will follow in the Linwood Crematory, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to St. Michael School, 21 Sixth St., Lowell, MA 01850. For directions or condolences, www.mckennaouellette.com
