lifelong resident of Ayer; 62
AYER -- Andrew A. Mauro, 62, of Ayer, died Thursday, November 17, 2011, at Apple Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Ayer.
Andy was born in Fitchburg, October 13, 1949, a son of the late Alfred and Anna (Hlukanick) Mauro and was a lifelong resident of Ayer.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Trainor) Mauro; two sons, Andrew A. Mauro Jr. and his fiancee, Dawn Lambert of Shirley, Sean Trainor and his wife, Jessica, of Ayer; two daughters and sons-in-law, April and Todd Strangio of Hudson, NH, Jennifer and James O'Neal of Leominster; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Sharon Mauro of Pepperell, Michael and Robyn Mauro of Ayer; three grandchildren, Craig-James Mauro, Jordan Mauro and Jacob Mauro. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
For many years with his family, Andy owned and operated Tiny's Restaurant in Ayer.
MAURO -- A graveside service will be held 10 AM Monday, November 21st, at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bishop Road, Ayer. Calling hours are 4-7 Sunday at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road, (Rte 2A) Ayer. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com for additional information.

Andy was a great person. Always a joy to spend times and work with him at Tiny's. He will be missed. Just won't be the same down there at Tiny's without him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
