Anna Vanbever Obituary
of Westford, loving mother, grandmother; 95
WESTFORD -- Anna W. (Smith) Vanbever, of Westford, died June 30, 2011, at Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell.
She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Vanbever who died in 1984.
She was born in Methuen, MA, April 14, 1916, a daughter of the late Ernest and Alice (Kenney) Smith.
Anna moved to the Graniteville section of Westford when she was five years old and attended Westford Public Schools.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Vanbever worked at the Raytheon Co., in Lowell, as an electronic assembler.
During retirement, Anna enjoyed knitting, traveling, visiting friends, relatives and taking walks in her beloved Graniteville.
She is survived by three children, Joan Kelly and her husband, Paul of Westford, Thomas Vanbever of Derry, NH, and James Vanbever of Westford. She also leaves two grandchildren, Rachel Kelly of Somerville, and Ryan Vanbever of Derry, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Anna was predeceased by her siblings, Louise Healy, Marjorie Connell, Harry and Robert Smith.
VANBEVER -- Friends may call at the HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 North Main Street, WESTFORD on Tuesday, July 5th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Service will immediately follow. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, WESTFORD. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make memorial contributions in Anna's name to The Westford Library, 50 Main Street, Westford, MA 01886. Joanie, Jimmy and Tom,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you. Annie was like a grandmother to me. I spent countless hours in her living room listening to all of her stories. I think one of her favorite stories was how Princy scared her when she was taking her groceries out of her trunk! She will be missed but our memories will last forever.

Joanie, Jimmy and Tom,
I have such fond memories of Annie while growing up. I always remember all the fun times that my parents had with Annie and Van. She was a kind lady who told it like it was which I always admired! Sad that all the Smiths are now gone.. They were a great family and left quite a legacy behind.. My deepest sympathy. Rest in Peace Annie. You will be dearly missed! Love Robin.

We are so sad to hear that Annie has passed away. Our deepest sympathy to all of you. We have wonderful memories of her! Hello Madder--Hello Fadder will always put a smile on all of our faces. I bet she and Jimmy are now laughing and laughing together! May you remember all the good times that you shared and hold them close to your hearts. She was such a great person and will be sadly missed by all!.
