Anthony Caggiano Obituary

Billerica – Anthony F. Caggiano, age 76, beloved husband of 52 years to Madilyn (Hickey) Caggiano died Friday, April 15 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington after a prolonged illness.

He was born in Boston, October 12, 1945, son of the late Saverio and Mary (Ruotolo) Caggiano and was raised in E. Boston before moving to Billerica and Otisfield, Maine. He was a Vietnam era war veteran.

Tony was a graduate of The English High School in Boston and Salem State University. He began his career as a Business Teacher in Boston and Tewksbury and was the Owner of Imports International. He spent thirty years working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he was a Tax Audit Supervisor.

He was an Eagle Scout, past president of the Wakefield Lions Club, board member of the Thompson Lake Environmental Association and a member of the Tewksbury Gun Club, Billerica Sons of Italy, Middlesex County Deputy Sheriff's Association and the "D.D. Boys Club"

He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, traveling and cribbage.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Lorayne Boudreau and her husband J. Mark of NH, his nephews, Mark Boudreau and his wife Carol and their children, Catherine and Laura of NH and Paul Boudreau and his wife Angela and their children, Sarah and Lindsay of TX; sister-in-law, Helene Skerry of FL and godsons, Christopher Ricci, Michael Neville and Phillip Ruotolo.

At the request of the family funeral arrangements will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Tony's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org. Arrangements under the care of the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, Billerica. www.sweeneymemorialfh.com
