Anthony M. Lucacio Sr.

Billerica businessman; 70

BILLERICA -- Anthony M. Lucacio Sr., age 70, beloved husband of Susanne R. (DiCicco) Lucacio, died Thursday, at the Lowell General Hospital, after a long illness.

He was born in Boston , April 11, 1939, the son of the late Anthony and Elena (Lochiatto) Lucacio and lived in the North End before moving to Billerica in 1968. Mr. Lucacio served in the National Guard.

He was the founder of both the Merrimack Valley Insurance Company and Lucacio Real Estate in Billerica. He was a member of the Billerica Sons of Italy.

Besides his wife, Mr. Lucacio is survived by his son, Anthony Lucacio Jr. and his wife (Patricia) of Billerica; his daughter, Marie Ratte and her husband, Michael, also of Billerica and the light of his life, his three granddaughters, Christina Marie and Brittany Lee Ratte, and Denise Aimee Lucacio.

LUCACIO -- Of Billerica, March 11, Anthony M. Lucacio Sr. Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Lucacio's name to Lowell General Hospital, 259 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854 c/o Development Office.
