WEARE, NH -- Barbara May (Bachelder) Campbell, age 92, a former resident of Tewksbury, died peacefully on Monday, May 9, at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry, after a long period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Edwin Joseph "Ed" Campbell Sr., who died in March 2012.

Barbara was born in Stoneham, in July 1923, and was the last survivor of seven children of the late Dana E. and Edith M. (Abbott) Bachelder. She was raised in Stoneham and graduated from Stoneham High School. She and her late husband lived in Tewksbury for 51 years, before retiring to Weare, NH.

Her early career was in assembly at the Marine Gear Works at General Electric in Lynn. Later, she worked as a department clerk at W.T. Grant in Wilmington.

She leaves a daughter, Barbara Outridge and her husband Rob of Townsend, a son, Edwin J. Campbell Jr., and his wife Jeanne (McDevitt) of Weare, NH; seven grandchildren, Kelly Infante of Taunton, Denise Lefebvre of Lowell, Tara Sicard of Townsend, Bryan Outridge of Dracut, Joseph Campbell of Hillsborough, NH, Bryanne Campbell of Concord, NH, and Michael Campbell of Milford, NH; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Virginia McGill and her husband Frank of Peabody; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Dana Bachelder Jr., Sally McGuinness, Lillian Hoague, Nancy Fossey, Janice Nelson, and Betsey Cole.
