She was born in Lowell, a daughter of the late William and Harriet (Keefe) Fagan. She was educated in local schools, graduating from St. Peter's Elemetary School, Keith Hall and Lowell Commercial College.
Mrs. Yavarow worked in the medical records departments of the former St. John's Hospital and Tewksbury State Hospital before retiring.
She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Yavarow of North Dakota and Edward Yavarow of Lowell; seven grandchildren, Faye Yavarow of Lowell, Dr. Christy Siems of Michigan and her husband, Ben, Mike Havarow Jr. and his wife, Carrie, Wendy Nordahl and her husband, Chuck, and Brian, Matt and Colleen Yavarow, all of Minnesota; and two great-grandchildren, Leah and Nicholas Yavarow, both of Minnesota.
