She was born in Lawrence, daughter of the late Donat and Rose (Dubois) Charpentier. She entered the Holy Union Community in 1930.
From 1934 to 1967, Sister Cecilia was a teacher in Holy Union High Schools in Pawtucket, R.I., Cambridge, and Lawrence. From 1967 to 1986, she taught piano and organ in Cambridge and Groton.
In 1988, she retired at the Holy Union Community in Lowell. Since 1999, Sister Cecilia had been a resident at D'Youville Senior Care.
In addition to her Holy Union Sisters, Sister Cecilia is survived by a brother, Albert, residing in Florida; a sister, Terry Gaudette, residing in Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
