David Dubick Obituary

BOSTON -- David M. "Max" Dubick, a Boston resident with family ties to Greater Lowell who had a career in clinical research and was also a performer in many theatrical productions, died Sunday, Dec. 4, at his father's home in Marlboro after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. He was 37.

He was born in Boston on July 2, 1968, raised in Framingham, and later moved to Texas, where he graduated from Lamar High School in Houston. He attended the University of Houston, after which he returned to Boston and pursued his career as clinical researcher at Parexel in Waltham. He later was employed as clinical research training manager for AAIPharma in Natick.

An avid lover of theatrical arts, Mr. Dubick performed with the Hovey Players productions of Man of LaMancha and The Importance of Being Earnest; Vokes Theatre's Assassins; and Theatre on the Charles' Sweeney Todd.

His other passions included music, arts, travel and a self-taught skill in computer technology. He is remembered by family and friends for his kindness and compassion as well as a remarkable sense of humor.

He leaves his devoted and loving partner, John R. Jackson of Boston, with whom he made his home; his father and stepmother, Murry and Ellen Dubick of Marlboro; his mother and stepfather, Helen (Brough) and Dan Forrest of Townsend; a brother, Daniel Dubick of Dracut; two sisters, Debra BrooksHayes of Hudson and Nickie Dubick of Nashua; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Dubick of Framingham; maternal grandfather and his wife, Harry and Monelle Brough of Onancock, Va.; maternal great-grandmother, Arlo O'Steen of Douglas, Ga.; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and devoted friends.

Mr. Dubick was also the brother of the late Douglas Dubick.

David knowing you was a great pleasure and a blessing, you touched the hearts and souls of all those whom you came in contact with. Now that your pain and suffering has ended, your journey to peace and happiness has begun. Your earthly presence will be missed by many, although your spirit will be felt by one and all. Go in peace my brother.
