Doris Lapointe Obituary

Doris L. Lapointe formerly of Lowell; 83 DRACUT Doris L. Lapointe, 83, formerly a resident of Lowell and a longtime resident of Dracut, died on Tuesday, December 25th, 2007, at Heritage Nursing Home in Lowell. She was born on October 28th, 1924, in Lowell, a daughter of the late Joseph E. and the late Lydia (Normand) Lapointe. Miss Lapointe was employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Andover. She also worked for other government agencies, until her retirement. She is survived by several nephews and nieces including, Nancy Murphy and Marcel R. LaPointe both of Lowell, Bruce Lapointe of Derry, NH, Diane Oates of Missouri, and Victor P. Lapointe of Dunstable; numerous great nephews and great nieces; she also leaves a dear friend, Fred Magnant formerly of Dracut. She was also the sister of the late Victor LaPointe, the late Arthur LaPointe, and the late Marcel R. LaPointe. LAPOINTE of Dracut, Doris L., age 83, died Dec. 25, 2007. Private services and burial were held in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford in accordance to Miss Lapointe's wishes. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123-1718.
