Douglas Fisher Obituary

Douglas Fisher Sr. Retired Carpenter from Local 33; Age 73 PELHAM Douglas Fisher Sr., a resident of Pelham NH (formally of Wilmington), died August 2nd, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Colleen (Day) (Malvarosa) Fisher. Born in Somerville, on November 3, 1934, he was the son of the late Stella (Stowe) Burrows and the late Helmer Fisher. He was a graduate of Wilmington High School. Prior to his retirement, Doug was a union carpenter from Local 33 for over 40 years. Doug was a fan of horse racing and spent many enjoyable days at Rockingham Race Track. He was also a country western fan who enjoyed dancing and being with friends at the Tequila Club in Danvers MA, as well as many other Country Clubs. Doug was also a dedicated Red Sox Fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Jacquelyn Flynn of Hudson, NH, Donna Brady and her husband, Michael of Hudson, NH, Doug Fisher Jr. and his wife, Laurie of Chichester, and Susan Fisher of Hudson, NH. He is also survived by three step-children, Thomas Malvarosa and his wife, Jackie of Dracut, MA, Nancy Hodge and her husband, John of Pelham, NH, and Anthony Malvarosa of Quincy, MA. He loving leaves behind 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Doug is also survived by 4 sisters, Doris and James Morrissey of Merrimack, NH, Violet and Joseph Baker of Jamaica Plain, MA, Gwen Ether of Gold Canyon, AZ, Karen Parker of Lynn, MA; three brothers, Philip and Barbara Fisher of Burlington, MA, John Fisher of Lynn, MA, and Donald and Judy Fisher of Vernon, NJ. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Robert Rodman. FISHER In Pelham, NH, August 2, 2008, at home, Douglas A. Fisher Sr., of Pelham, husband of Colleen (Day) Fisher. Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 11 NASHUA RD, PELHAM, NH from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday morning at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME at 10:30 A.M. Burial in the Gibson Cemetery. Those wishing may make contributions in his memory to the American Heart Assn., 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101. Arrangements by Funeral Directors James F. O'Donnell, Jr. and John W.
