Estelle "Sandy" (Panagiotacopoulos) Carroll of Chelmsford, formerly of Lowell, Dec. 31. Age 80. Mother of Kathleen LaPorte of Hudson, NH, Theresa Carroll of San Diego, CA, and the late Robert James Carroll. Grandmother of Alyssa and Charlie LaPorte. Sister of Sophia Rallis of NH, Andrea Zwicker of Dracut, Julie Cunningham of NH, Betty McLellan of Waltham, John Cunningham of Chelmsford, the late Patricia Felton, the late Helen Fascione, and the late Virginia Abisi.
Funeral Services will be private. Memorial donations in Sandy's name may be made to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854. Arrangements by the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, Burlington. www.sullivanfuneralhome.net.

Sandy was one of my very dear spiritual friends. She was a very special lady that will always be close to my heart. Sandy may you rest in peace in the arms of Jesus and Our Lady. I arrived at Chelmsford Arms to bring the blessed ashes for a few residents on Ash Wednesday 2007. A lovely lady, opened the door for me. She stood silently, as I introduced myself to those awaiting my arrival. Then she quietly asked if she could join us. Of course, she could. Sandy remained a mainstay of our Eucharistic group until the time of her death. She is loved and will be greatly missed. I will always cherish our time together. I am beyond grateful for her. She brightened my world. Rest in peace, Sandy and watch over all us. Sending my love and prayers heavenward......
