Dracut, St. Marguerite member, WWII vet; 88
DRACUT Eugene J. LaBranche, 88, a resident of Dracut, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 5th, at his home. He was the husband of the late Thelma (Keyes) LaBranche.
He was born in Newmarket, NH, on
February 4, 1921, and he was the 13th of 16 children of the late George and Lydia (Duquette) LaBranche.
Mr. LaBranche served his country as a gunnery instructor on the B17 in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II.
He was an avid walker, and his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He was a deeply religious man and was a communicant of St. Marguerite D'Youville Church in Dracut, and a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption in Dracut, where he was member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a lifetime member of Tewksbury Disabled American Veterans Post 110.
He is survived by two daughters, Gloria Fulgoni and her husband, Richard, of Nashua, NH, and Irene Lane of Lowell; a son, George LaBranche and his wife, Katharine, of Hooksett, NH; seven grandchildren, Paul Fulgoni, Elaine Sojka, Joseph Fulgoni, Richard Lane, Michael Lane, Diane DiPoto, and Amanda Stark; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Pepin of CT, Lillian Roberge of Maine, and Doris Kalway of NH; and many nieces and nephews.
LaBRANCHE Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, on Thursday from 4 until 8 PM. His Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday at 8 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 AM at St. Marguerite D'Youville Church in Dracut. Interment in Lowell Cemetery in Lowell. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made in his name to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451. For online condolences and
