VIRGINIA -- Mrs. Eugenia (Floudas) Soiles, 86, formerly of Lowell passed away Monday, May 30 in Arlington, Virginia at Capital Care Hospice surrounded by her family.

Eugenia was born December 24, 1924 in Yianaka Arcadia, Greece a daughter of the late Costas and Panagiota Floudas. Loving wife of forty-five years to the late John Soiles.

Eugenia spent the early part of her life in Greece, marrying her husband John in 1953 and then moving to Lowell. She worked for many years in the Boote Mills as a stitcher.

Eugenia was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell. She loved being a mother and grandmother as well as baking and gardening .

She is survived by her fours sons, Elias Soiles and his wife Leslie of Worcester, James Soiles and his wife Karen of Virginia, Charles Soiles and his wife Susan of Lowell, and Peter Soiles of Lowell; three brothers, Christos Floudas, Haralambos Floudas, and Elias Floudas; two sisters, Aspasia Soiles and Maria Soiles all of Greece; she also leaves ten grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

SOILES -- Friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Her funeral will take place from the Funeral Home on Friday at 9:00am with services at the St George Greek Orthodox Church of Lowell at 10:00a.m. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
