He was born July 22, 1928, in New York City's Brooklyn, son of the late John D. Cavallari Sr., and Theresa Camera Cavallari. He recieved a bachelor of science degree from Northeastern University and served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement, he had been an electrical engineer.
He was an avid Ham amateur radio operator on W1DRS.
Mr. Cavallari was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford. He was the first cable television commissioner for the town of Chelmsford, according to family members.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Ford Cavallari and his partner Robin of Boston; a sister, Gloria Cavallari of Virgina Beach, Va.; and a brother, John Cavallari Jr. of New York City.

I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up next door at 16 Lantern Lane. Mr. Cavallari, as I called him growing up, was always friendly to me and my sister - with a wave or a hello
