Frances Beekman Obituary

Frances H. Beekman of Lowell, formerly of Lake City, FL; 90 LOWELL Frances H. (Cambeis) Beekman, 90, of Lowell, and formerly of Lake City, FL, and South Brunswick, NJ, died on Wed., Oct. 31, 2007, from complications of a stroke. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on Dec. 16, 1916, the daughter of the late George A. Cambeis and Marguerite (Von Gerichten) Cambeis. She was the wife of the late Elmer C. Beekman, of South Brunswick, NJ. Prior to moving to the Merrimack River Valley House in Lowell, she was a nurses' aide in Lake City, FL.Before that, she assisted with the management of Edgewood Farm, owned by Elmer C. Beekman. She was a member of Six Mile Run Reformed Church, Dayton Presbyterian Church, and the South Brunswick Women's Club. Her hobbies included gardening and reading. She is survived by her children, Colonel Ralph E. Beekman and his wife, Barbara of Lake City, FL, Nancy B. Carringer of South Brunswick, NJ, and Lois B. Kelley and her husband, Robert of Tyngsboro, MA. She also leaves 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. BEEKMAN Frances H. (Cambeis) Beekman, 90, of Lowell, and formerly of Lake City FL, and South Brunswick, NJ, died on Wed., Oct. 31, 2007. AMemorial Service will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Mrs. Beekman's name to the Merrimack River Valley House, 520 Fletcher St., Lowell, MA 01854. Dear Lois,
We were saddened to read of your Mother's passing. We will remember your Mom with fondness, as well as your aquaintance, while both of our Mother's were staying at Westford. We hope you and your family are well. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
