Francis Souza Obituary
Francis J. "Frank" Souza, 74, of Gilford, NH, died November 22, 2023 at Epsom Manor Nursing Center in Epsom, NH. He was born on March 12, 1949 in Lowell, MA, the son of John A. Souza and Evelyn T. (Santos) Souza. He is the beloved husband of Deborah L. (Vidito) Souza with whom he shared over 52 years of marriage. They were married on August 31, 1971. He is a graduate of Sacred Heart School and Lowell High School in Lowell, MA. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Navy where he was a member of the commissioning crew of the USS Seattle AOE 3. He was a proud member of LIUNA Local 429 in Lowell for over 30 years, and upon retirement, went on to work for the City of Lowell for an additional 10 years. Frank is survived by his loving wife Deborah Souza of Gilford, NH; son John Souza of Nashua, NH; grandsons, Jeffery Souza of Webster, MA, Christopher Souza of Nashua, NH; granddaughters, Mckaelynn Souza of Sturbridge, MA and Jaidyn Souza of Worcester, MA; his sister Marianne Conlin and her husband Martin of Fairview, NC; and brother James Souza and his wife Janice of Melbourne, FL; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his son Christopher J. Souza, brother John "Jack" Souza, and sister Teresa M. (Souza) Norton. Donations in Frank's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of your choice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 12th at 11:00am at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 893 Central St in Lowell, MA. Interment will follow in Westlawn II Cemetery, Lowell. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Assisting with arrangements is The Cremation Society of NH in Manchester. Debby I was so sad to read that Frank had passed i only remember him as such a nice guy and how close you both were to each other I know how hard this much be for the family gone too soon i wish you strength and good friends and family to help you through your grief very sincerely Patty Keefe
