George Eliopoulos Obituary
Mr. George C. Eliopoulos, 89, of Lowell passed away on February 17, 2016.
Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R.LAURIN FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Thursday February 25th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. His funeral will take place on Friday, February 26th at 9:00 am at the Funeral Home to be followed by a service at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, donations may be made in his memory to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Lewis St., Lowell, MA. 01854. Funeral arrangements under the direction of directors, Louis M. Fazio III, M. Richard Laurin, and Scott Laurin. For condolences or directions, please go to www.laurinfuneralhome.com.

I met George back in about 1964 or 65.
We met and shared a trailer while going to school in Huntsville, AL for the Nike Hercules Missile system.
Always a happy go lucky guy.
From there when the Missile system went down, I, from RI and him from MA, went to work at Ft Devens in Ayer, MA.
I have pics from the early days in Huntsville, if interested.

It is with deep sympathy that I write this condolence, I have known George and the Eliopoulos family all my life. Unfortunately , distance prevents me from attending funeral and or wake. George was a wonderful person, always with a joke and a smile. may his memory be eternal.
