George Singelakis
former owner of John's Barber Shop

in Ayer, MA

George Singelakis was born on March 19, 1925 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He was the son of Steven and Sofia Singelakis, who were immigrants from Crete, Greece. George served in the US Army and was in active combat during World War II. He owned a successful business, John's Barber Shop, for many decades on Main Street in Ayer. He is predeceased by his wife, Maria (Spandagos), and is survived by his daughter Helen Burnette, and sons Nick and Andrew Singelakis.

SINGELAKIS -- Funeral services will be held at: NH State Veteran's Cemetery, Boscawen, NH, Friday, April 15th at 2:00pm.

Sorry for the loss of your father Helen, Nicky and Andrew and Grandchilden, great grandchildren. It has been a difficult 40 years without you all. Just know I am thinking of you and always will. Geo, was my barber when I was station at Ft Devens,Ma back in the late 70"s. Being born in Lowell myself we had a lot of fond memories of the city. Especially the Acre. Your Dad was a proud and hard working man.
