Gerald Buckley Obituary
Gerald (Jerry) Buckley, a resident of Brooksville, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 26. He was 85. Jerry is survived by his devoted wife Cindy (née Lightfoot), sister Rosemary (Mike) Conners, sons Steven and David, daughter-in-law Madeleine Chasen, grandsons Jackson and Tyler, stepdaughter Kimberly (Rob) Tran and grandchildren Savannah, Landon and Violet. He leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends and acquaintances too numerous to count. Jerry was predeceased by his brothers Daniel, John and Robert, and stepson Daniel Tran.
Jerry was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on December 2, 1936 to John and Dorothy (née Kenyon). He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Spain, Alaska and New York. While raising a family and working at Raytheon full time, he graduated from the Lowell Technological Institute with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1975. Jerry retired as a communications manager from Raytheon after more than 40 years.
In addition to being an avid motorcyclist, lover of music and an almost-accomplished harmonica player, Jerry was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene where he served in several leadership roles.
While his flame has diminished, his embers burn bright and he will deeply be missed by all who knew him or crossed his path.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Jerry to the Alzheimer's Association.
The service will be Saturday March 5th at 11:00am. Spring Hill Calvary Church of the Nazarene 235 Cobblestone Drive Spring Hill Fl 34606. Service will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend. Link will be shared day of service.

Sorry for your loss....I worked for Jerry at Raytheon for many years (in late 80's - mid 90's), and also worked there with his son Steve. My thoughts are with all of his family

Jerry was full of life. In just the short few years I knew him. He loved to dance and show off. He was jolly and sweet and showed love to his friends and family. You will be truly missed Jerry, by everyone.

Jerry was a fine man who dearly loved the Lord. I know he will be greatly missed. He is now worshipping the Lord with the Saints who have gone before him. My love and prayers are now with Cindy and the family. May God bless and keep them as they travel this most difficult journey.
