Gertrude McAuliffe Obituary

Gertrude F. McAuliffe formerly of Lowell, devoted to her family; 80 HUDSON, NH Gertrude F. (Young) McAuliffe, 80, a resident of Hudson, NH, and formerly of Lowell, died at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, after an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Daniel J. McAuliffe Sr., who died in 1999. She was born in Winchendon, on Sept. 5, 1927, and was a daughter of the late Harold and Edith (Avery) Young. She received her education in Cambridge schools, and was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School. Mrs. McAuliffe spent her life tending to the needs of her home and family. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs. She is survived by a son, Robert F. McAuliffe and his fiancée, Deanna Booth, both of Haverhill; two daughters, Gayle P. Hogue and her husband, Mark of Hudson, NH, and Edith M. Taddeo and her husband, Anthony Sr., of Chelmsford; a daughter-in-law, Linda McAuliffe-Fraiser of Newton; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Lohnes of Lowell, and Barbara Mason of Taunton; a brother, Harold Young of Michigan; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Charles E. McAuliffe, Daniel J. McAuliffe Jr., and Michelle McAuliffe; the grandmother of the late Danielle Taddeo-Dupont; and the great-grandmother of the late Anthony A. Dupont. Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Wednesday from 4 until 8 P.M. Her Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at the Newton Cemetery in Newton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. For online condolences and directions visit dracutfuneralhome.com.

ALL NANA GERTS CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN AND GREATCHILDREN.
GERT WAS A LOVER OF ALL, SHE ENDURED MORE THAN MOST OF US AND SURVIVED. GERT LOVED HER POODLES
AND GAVE THEM 100% THOSE OF US WHO
REALLY KNEW HER KNOW WHO SHE WAS AND WHAT HER GREATEST LOSS WAS. GERT WILL FINALLY JOIN ALL HER LOVED ONES.
