Hulda visited Iceland often, her homeland for the first 20 years in her life. The last three summers she came and stayed with her son Bobby at my mothers home. Me and my whole family always enjoyed Hulda and Bobby's company and we will miss the time that we had with her. She loved children and gave them time and talked to them about their day. She was always very well stocked with lollypops which was very popular with the children in my family. Aunt Hulda (frænka) was a great caracter, always full of life and laughter and we will remember her like that.

So sorry to hear of Hulda's passing. I cleaned for her when I worked at the cleaning co. for a couple of years. I always enjoyed talking to her.

Hulda was a dear friend of my mother, Hjördís Einarsdóttir and a good friend of mine and my wife Sigrún. We will never forget our visit to her and Harry during Eastern more than 20 years ago and I know our daughters won't either. Her warmth and joy was almost overwhelming and I know I speak for my entire family when I say that she will be remembered and sadly missed. My deepest condolances to her family. Einar Gunnar Bollason

Hulda was a dear friend of our mother, Hjördís Einarsdóttir (the girl in the middle on the HE Trio photo). We remember her so well from her visits in Iceland and our mother reminiscing about the time when the three HE-girls sang 'The house of the rising sun' and 'Lili Marleen'. Remembering Hulda frænka (Aunt Hulda) kindles warm memories. Her visits to Iceland would bring the extended family together and there would always be a lot of laughter and joy. The same can be said about many other visits, the last one being when she and Arthur Harrington, her brother in law, visited us in Ottawa.
We bid farewell to Hulda frænka, and thank and celebrate her long and full life.
