James Halko Obituary
James C. "Jim" Halko, age 62, died Sunday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born in Worcester, MA, December 20, 1958 a son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Lariviere) Halko and lived in Webster and Burlington before moving to Billerica fourteen years ago.
Jim was a longtime parts manager for the former Charles River SAAB and loved all things SAAB, and more recently for Boston Volvo. He was an avid Boston sports fan who loved all four Boston teams.
He is survived by his two cherished sons, Matthew and Connor Halko both of Billerica; two brothers, Stephen and Barbara Halko of Carmel Valley, CA and Joseph Halko and Chris DeMay of Northborough, MA; three sisters Elizabeth Danforth of Oxford, MA, Nancy and Andy Paul of Milton, GA and Mary and Chet Stockdale of Woodstock, CT, as well as his former wife and friend Kathleen Halko of Billerica and many nieces, nephews and friends. Whom he adored.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday , February 20, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Per current CDC and State Guidelines face coverings will be required and attendees must sign up to attend the Funeral Mass at https://cli.re/ccb-funeral-signup In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Matthew and Connor Halko's College Fund c/o Kathleen Halko, 53 Baldwin Rd., #1202, Billerica, MA 01821. Lots of fun working and playing hockey with Jimbo, we would always race home from work on rte 2, i always won (lol) he's been a great friend for over 30 years. He would give you the shirt off his back, glad he was in my life.

Rest in peace Jim. Lots of fond and fun memories of the good old SAAB days. Jim was always ready to help and was the kind of person you want as a friend.
To his sons and family I hope the pain of your loss can be offset by taking pride in knowing that your Jim was genuinely and sincerely a good man. My condolences to all.
