Dear Jean & family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We loved Jim and especially our fun times in NY. He loved the Italian restaurant and had so much fun on the drive. We will all miss him greatly. Now that we live in FL we were unable to attend, but know we were there in spirit.

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I was a classmate of Jim at Northeastern University. I didn't get to see much of Jim back then because we held the same co-op job at the New England Confectionery Company (NECCO) in Cambridge, MA. After graduation I bought a house in Wilmington, MA and really got to Know Jim. Please accept our condolences .

Dear Jean, awhile ago, our Mother Irene,
(my Father Carl, was Jimmy's Uncle) celebrated a very important birthday. You and Jimmy made a point of coming to the south shore and honoring her. It meant so much to her. We will always remember that kindness. Take care, Karen Derman and

To Jim's Family:
I first met Jim when I was 14 years old, trying to find a sponsor for my "Soap Box Derby," car. Jim was a member of the Wilmington J.C.'s, and got Mike DeMoulas, to sponsor me. We remained friends, and after I returned from Vietnam, in 1970, Jim was about the only one to say "Welcome Home." Years later I became involved with the Disabled American Veterans, and began to find ways to honor my four Wilmington friends and classmates Killed in Action, in Vietnam. It was not a popular thing to do, at the time, and many were against me doing it. Jim stepped right up front in helping me, by assisting me getting a piece of State owned land for the first monument in Wilmington Honoring a Vietnam Veteran (Pfc Richard Welch, KIA September, 1968). Jim remained as my go to guy as I fought to build the remaining three monuments, and was always the first person to show up at the dedications. Jim has been one of the people in my life, I have always looked up to, and has always been there to help Veterans when ever they asked. Jim has always been one of my mentors" growing up, and I own a lot of my success in life to his guidance and "Trail". I will forever be thankful for support and friendship. Wilmington and Tewksbury has lost an "Icon" and I hope the people of both towns realize that. NO one can replace him, ever! Rest in Peace, my friend. You have made this world a much better place to live!

State Representative Jim Miceli served his constituents well for decades and was always willing to attend an event or lend a hand when asked. We lived in Tewksbury for over 25 years and got to know Jim and could always count on him for his dedication, compassion and kindness. We often looked forward to our conversations with Jim at Market Basket in Wilmington which were always meaningful and pleasant. Tewksbury is a better place because of Jim Miceli. Thank you for your service Jim, may you rest in peace.

Dear Jean and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to all of you. Jim was one of the kindest individuals I have ever known. As a State Representative he gave his all to the communities and beyond; many should follow his footsteps. When he said he would help he did. He was truly a kind, compassionate person and proved that through his actions. I will miss our chats at the Demoulas and different venues such as 4th of July on the common and Veterans events. I am so grateful Jim that you were able to join many of my Veterans events such as the Annual Dinners in North Reading. I always told you that you were the only democrat I voted for:): because you devoted your life to helping others allowing them to see the light at the end of the tunnel when they were in despair. You are going to be missed by so many you have touched through the years. My heart goes out to all the Miceli Family. God Speed State Rep Jim Miceli I know you are in the comfort of our Lords hands. May you all find comfort in the wonderful memories you have made. I will miss him very much.
