James Tuttle Obituary

DRACUT -- James H. "Jimmy" Tuttle, 54, a longtime Dracut resident, died Saturday, July 15, at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Andrea M. (Pigeon) Tuttle, to whom he was married for 15 years.

He was born in Shirley on June 7, 1952, the son of Amelia R. (Almeida) Tuttle of Dracut and William D. Tuttle Jr. of Thailand. He received his education in Dracut schools, and graduated from Dracut High School.

Prior to his illness, he worked in security with Hollingsworth & Vose Co. in Groton. Mr. Tuttle had also worked as a long-distance truck driver.

In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his children, listening to and playing all kinds of music, going to the beach, gardening, fishing, playing darts with his friends and being with his dog, Zoey.

He was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Dracut.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, James G. Tuttle, a junior at Dracut High School; a daughter, Amelia M. Tuttle, a freshman at Dracut High School; two brothers and their wives, William D. Tuttle III and Karin Tuttle of Boston's West Roxbury, and Richard J. and Barbara Tuttle of Columbia, Mo.; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gerard and Agnes Pigeon of Cape Coral, Fla.; seven nephews, Tom Tuttle and J.P. Tuttle, both of West Roxbury, and Joshua Tuttle, Isaac Tuttle, Nicholas Tuttle, Philip Tuttle and Matthew Tuttle, all of Columbia, Mo. He also leaves a close family friend, Seth Ramos of Dracut.
