To the Walsh family,
I have very fond memories of spending time so often at your home when I was younger and Carol was one of my "best friends" when we went to St. Peter's School. It was with great sadness that I read of your mother's passing and send my deepest sympathies to all of you.
Fondly,
Dolly (Greenwood) King

My sincere condolences to Janet's family. I grew up at 20 Hudson Street (two family-McAleer house) and baby-sat a couple of times for Janet's children (and Ray Rourke's kids). Janet was gorgeous and always looked her very best. I remember Janet going to Church every Sunday with the five of you in tow, and looking just wonderful and calm as can be.
I saw Janet last at my aunt's wake (Gertrude Shea). When leaving my aunt's home, I would often see Janet and stop to chat, or going up Lawrence Street where she was always feeding the ducks.
Words are so meaningless at a time like this. I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to her beloved children and family.

John and family,
We were very saddened to hear the news of your mother's passing. As you know, we will be unable to attend any of the services; however, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I only met your mother twice but have heard from the family many nice stories and remarks about her. I wish I had known her better.
Sincerely,
Pat and John Murphy (Joe's sister and husband from Virginia).
