Juvenalia C. Picanco
of Lowell; 86

LOWELL -- Juvenalia C. (Santos) Picanco, 86, of Lowell, passed away after a period of declining health on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Willow Manor Nursing Home.

Born January 2, 1928, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Manuel, and the late Maria (Cunha) Santos. She was raised and educated in Graciosa, and relocated to the United States in 1960, settling in Lowell. She resided in the Back Central Neighborhood, and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially Sunday dinners. She worked for Wang Laboratories as a solderer for over 10 years.

She is survived by her children, Tina S. Broderick of Nashua, NH and her former son-in- law, James Broderick Sr. of Tewksbury, Alz M. and his wife Thresia Picanco of Lowell, and Michael A. Picanco of Lowell. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Valentim Picanco.

PICANCO -- YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 5. ON WEDNESDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. She will be missed. So very sorry for your loss to all who loved her! Ah, memories of her holiday "meat", love of jigsaw puzzles, scratch tickets made her light up. But she loved nothing and no one more than family. My deepest condolences.
